Each of our classrooms focuses on the individual child and encourages independence. We have 6 different classrooms, all named after a furry mountain animal and carefully and thoughtfully designed to resemble a comfortable home-like environment where the children feel nurtured, safe and at ease. Although, the rooms are primarily divided based on age, we not only look at the age of the child, but also we spend numerous days and hours observing and following each child to determine his/her physical, language, social/emotional and cognitive development before moving them to a new class. Between birth and age 6, children go through several “sensitive” periods, during which time they are able to develop and refine certain skills with ease, exactness and joy. A child under 6 is said to possess an “absorbent mind”. Children have the ability to absorb virtually anything.
